Czech municipal elections take place on Friday 9 October 2026, 14:00–22:00, and Saturday 10 October, 08:00–14:00. Citizens of other EU member states can vote alongside Czech citizens if they turn 18 by 10 October and have permanent or registered temporary residence in the municipality concerned.
Eligible non-Czech EU citizens need an entry in the supplement to the permanent voters’ list. If you are not yet listed, apply to the relevant municipal or district office by Wednesday 7 October at 16:00. In Pilsen, contact your municipal district office. If you registered for earlier local elections and still meet the conditions, you normally do not need to apply again; the office can check your entry. For an in-person application, bring an EU national ID card or passport and proof of residence.
This concerns municipal elections. Citizenship of a non-EU country alone does not confer the right to vote in them, and the local voting rights of other EU citizens do not extend to Czech Senate elections. The image is a general illustration, not a photograph of this election.
