The University of West Bohemia published an interview on 16 October about energy-equipment diagnostics developed by the DiagEn team at Pilsen’s Faculty of Applied Sciences. The fresh item explains the researchers’ work; it does not announce the systems’ first launch.
Sensors track vibration, temperature, pressure and other measurements. Data analysis and machine learning help identify unusual behaviour and support preventive maintenance. The figure of more than 50 power plants using steam-turbine solutions is the university’s own report.
The work offers students and the technical community an example of local research used in industry. Researcher Jindřich Liška also stresses cybersecurity and physical understanding of machinery: automated analysis still needs expert judgement. This is not an accident alert or a recruitment announcement. The cover is a conceptual AI illustration, not a photograph of UWB equipment.
