Pilsen reported on 15 October that councillors approved conditions in September for an art competition. A sculpture of General George S. Patton and his dog Willie is planned for the future Patton Loos Museum at Klatovská 19. The city estimates the competition and artwork together at about CZK 3 million.
The sculpture is intended to stand beside the Sherman tank in the courtyard. Building renovation is complete, but Plzeň-TURISMUS is still preparing the exhibitions. The competition is planned for this autumn, with the jury meeting in early 2027.
The city aims to open the museum by summer 2027; that is a target, not a confirmed visitor date. A scale model may stand in if the sculpture is unfinished. The announcement does not identify a winner, submission deadline or already open registration. Official city notice. The cover is a conceptual AI illustration, not a sculpture design.
