UWB reported on 9 October, in an article by Monika Bechná, that its Sutnar Faculty’s Furniture and Interior Design studio won the Best School Presentation award at Designblok Awards 2026. Touch and Sound combines material experiments with laboratory research: acoustic tests took place at RICE, while NTC specialists examined selected materials using an electron microscope.

The award recognizes a Pilsen school’s work and offers international students a glimpse of design and research across the university. According to UWB, the exhibition can be visited through Sunday 11 October in space V.512 of the National Gallery Prague’s Trade Fair Palace. The exhibition is in Prague, not Pilsen. The cover is a conceptual AI illustration of materials, not the actual artworks.
