On 30 September, Pilsen announced that it had acquired certified equipment for Drone Soccer, a team game in which small drones inside protective spherical cages fly through the opposing goal. The city’s Drony SIT team plans to use a smaller portable version in schools.
Drony SIT specialists already teach unmanned technology at Pilsen’s transport technical secondary school, where Drone Soccer is set to join the programme. The city also hopes to work with other technical schools. It says the game combines piloting, building and repairing drones with teamwork. No public class schedule or open registration has been announced.
