Choose by the kind of day you want
Rain does not mean you need to fill the day with back-to-back museums. Pick one indoor destination, check its opening and booking arrangements, and keep a nearby meal break in reserve. The options below are alternatives, rather than a checklist to complete.
- Hands-on time with children: consider Techmania. Check the exhibitions and any separately scheduled programme before buying tickets. Leave enough time to explore instead of treating it as a quick stop between trains.
