Prague receives over CZK 16.6 million for completed Vítkov park improvements

IROP funding arrived after the first stage was carried out; no new access restriction was announced.

Prague has reported receiving more than CZK 16.6 million for the first stage of improvements to Vítkov park. The money comes from IROP 2021–2027 through the Ministry for Regional Development.

Funding was provided retrospectively after the relevant work was completed. Its purpose was to improve public space and the park’s ecosystem services; the money is allocated to the city’s environmental protection department.

This is a funding announcement for an already implemented project. It does not set a new construction schedule, opening date or closure for park visitors.
