From 1 January 2027, awarded unpaid blood donors can buy an annual PID coupon for Central Bohemia for 365 CZK. Eligible awards are the Czech Red Cross Gold Cross, third, second or first class, or the Dar krve – dar života plaque. No age restriction is specified.
The coupon lasts 365 days from a chosen start, no earlier than 1 January 2027. Sales start that day at all PID information centres in Central Bohemia, including PID Point. Sales at Na Bojišti and Škodův palác in Prague remain under discussion only.
Buyers need identity documents, award evidence and an MOS-registered identifier such as Lítačka or the PID Lítačka app. An identifier can be obtained or registered at purchase; paper PID passes cannot carry this category. Award evidence is not needed on every journey, but eligibility must be proved again with each new annual purchase.
It covers all PID operators within Central Bohemia. It excludes Prague zones P, 0 and B even on trips to Prague, zones outside the region, and municipal transport with its own tariff that does not recognize PID. A further valid ticket is needed for uncovered sections.
The separate Prague opportunity for a free annual coupon at 80, 120, 160 or 250 donations is not automatic: the City Council must approve the offer each year. It is available once per reached milestone, and again only at a further milestone. Donations must be at Prague transfusion departments; permanent residence is not decisive. Ask the Czech Red Cross about donation records and inclusion in the list. This is a separate programme from the new regional coupon.
