When travelling from the Pilsen Region to South Bohemia, check the covered fare segment as well as the bus number. From 1 July 2026, IDPK extended the use of single and season tickets to selected zones in the neighbouring region.
IDPK lists nine zones: 157 Bělčice, 160 Záboří, 161 Volyně, 162 Čkyně, 163 Vimperk, 164 Volenice, 165 Čestice, 166 Vacov, 167 Borová Lada. This does not grant blanket validity throughout South Bohemia: the ticket must cover the relevant zones and the specific section of the route.
For example, bus 380710 Strakonice–Volyně–Čkyně–Vimperk is listed as covered along the whole route. For 320185 České Budějovice–Prachatice–Kvilda, however, IDPK covers only Vimperk, aut. nádr.–Kvilda. Do not extend that segment to the complete route to České Budějovice.
Turista Plzeňskem and Turista Plzeňskem a Bavorskem tickets have their own defined areas and services. Before buying, match your ticket type, zones and route segment against the official guide. This explains rules in place since July, rather than announcing a new fare change today.
