The Commission proposed a critical communications system to help police, fire, medical and civil-protection services exchange information across agencies and EU borders.
The proposal envisages broadband transmission of data, video and messages in real time. Satellite backup and deployable communications equipment would support situations where terrestrial networks are unavailable.
For Czechia, this is a significant issue of crisis preparedness and international assistance. The official 30 September article describes a proposal requiring Parliament and Council adoption; phased rollout envisages a transition from 2030. It does not announce an already operational Czech network.
