The Czech cabinet approved Justice Ministry proposals to amend the Civil Code and related laws on child protection on 12 October. The ministry identifies consideration by the Chamber of Deputies as the next step. These are proposed changes, not newly effective rules.
The bill would strengthen assessment of children’s safety in domestic-violence cases and allow judges to involve specialists in evaluating risks. It does not mean automatic removal of parental responsibility. This report does not establish that the proposal is already law or automatically applies to every international family dispute.
