The West Bohemian Gallery is opening a display of 102 works by sculptor, painter and translator Zbyněk Sekal at its Masné krámy exhibition hall. Marie Christine Sekal donated the collection to the gallery. It spans his career from the 1950s to the end of his life, with sculptures, hanging assemblages and three-dimensional wooden constructions he called “boxes”.
Extracts from his diaries accompany the works and offer insight into his creative process. The exhibition runs from 7 October 2026 to 7 March 2027. Standard admission is CZK 90, reduced admission CZK 45 and a family ticket CZK 170. Gallery information is published in Czech; languages for any guided tours or additional labels are unconfirmed. Check opening hours before visiting.
