Pilsen announces evening public-transport diversions for 28 October

Republic Day celebrations will affect trams, trolleybuses and buses in the centre. Restrictions have different times for different routes.

Republic Day celebrations will affect trams, trolleybuses and buses in the centre. Restrictions have different times for different routes.

On 28 October 2026, city public transport will follow Sunday timetables because of the public holiday. PMDP stated this separately from the evening diversions in the centre.

PMDP published arrangements for Pilsen’s 28 October celebrations on 14 October. Tram 4 will be interrupted approximately 17:55–18:30 during the light parade. Trams 1 and 2 will not cross náměstí Republiky approximately 18:00–20:00.

Tram 1 will run on Slovany–Anglické nábřeží and Bolevec–Sady Pětatřicátníků sections; tram 2 on Světovar–Anglické nábřeží. Bus 2A between Skvrňany and U Synagogy is unchanged. Once the parade leaves Americká, a circular replacement 1/2A will serve Sady Pětatřicátníků, Na Rychtářce, Pařížská, Mrakodrap and U Práce.

Trolleybuses 11, 12, 15 and 16 will divert via Prokopova and Belánka approximately 17:55–18:30. The square closure from 18:05 to 20:00 affects buses 20 and 33; route 33 also has special arrangements for some earlier departures. Check the full operator notice for exact departures and stops.
