Plzeň city councillors approved support for primary-school media workshops on 19 October 2026. The city’s 23 October announcement gives a total of 378000 CZK and a contribution of up to 10000 CZK per class.
The workshops aim to help pupils distinguish reliable information from disinformation and use the internet and social networks safely. Practical sessions will introduce presenting, reporting, camera work, sound and school television. The city says professionals from Česká televize, ZAK TV and CNN Prima News will lead them.
The supported schools are: 1. ZŠ, Benešova ZŠ a MŠ, 10. ZŠ, 11. ZŠ, Masarykova ZŠ, 14. ZŠ, 15. ZŠ, 16. ZŠ a MŠ, Bolevecká ZŠ, 20. ZŠ, 22. ZŠ, 26. ZŠ, 28. ZŠ, 31. ZŠ.
