A new pedestrian and cycling connection is being built between Letenské nábřeží and the greenway along the Úslava near the Rokycanská street bridge. The site is in Doubravka, Plzeň 4. The city reported the construction on 4 November 2026; it has not announced that the path is open.
The link will be 91 metres long and 3.5 metres wide including its unpaved shoulder, with a 2%gradient. Plans call for asphalt and separate directional lanes, each one metre wide and wider on bends. The city says the gentler climb should help cyclists, scooter users and parents with prams reach the embankment; the existing short ramp beside the bridge is steep.
SVSMP is managing the construction, with EUROVIA CZ as contractor. The CZK 3.7 million price including VAT also covers disposal of excavated earth at a controlled landfill. Completion is expected at the end of January 2027 if winter weather does not require a pause. This is a conditional target, not a confirmed access date.
Preparatory vegetation clearance took place in spring. Thirteen new trees are planned after construction. The notice does not set out a diversion or a new traffic arrangement during the works.
The cover is a thematic AI illustration of a riverside cycling connection, not a photograph or design of this construction.
